Great tips! I would add to remember they are little people with their own likes, dislikes etc - we are sometimes more hungry or tired than at other times so expecting them to be the same is the fast road to frustration.
Also, despite breastfeeding my first child until she weaned herself at 12 months, my second did not feed well (despite me having lots of milk, attaching well etc) and was bottle fed from 4 weeks. I felt a lot of angst about bottlefeeding, not least was recognising my own prejudice against mums who bottlefed and a lot of worrying about condemning him to a lifetime of allergies, obesity and other non-breastfed baby trauma! This was alleviated by supportive friends (he'll just be a "leg man" not a "breast man"!). In the end, we all want healthy babies who are putting on weight.
